A stretch of highway in South Carolina was temporarily colored pink (and blue) after a U-Haul trailer carrying clothing dye was involved in an accident, spilling the dye onto the road.
The accident occurred on I-85 south between Highway 129 and Highway 29.
The Spartanburg County Emergency Management team warned drivers about the crash via their Facebook page, saying:
“Organic fabric/clothing paint has been spilled in 2 of the 3 lanes. It will take a while for a contractor to clean it up and there will be a traffic jam. While the colors are nice, we’re pretty sure you won’t want it on your car!
No one was reportedly injured in the accident. Photos by a Sky4 News Chopper shows a man, apparently the unlucky driver, standing at the side of the road at a U-Haul trailer with paint on his clothes.
The accident caused major delays on the highway as workers cleared the mess. Due to the spill’s proximity to the North Tyger River, the Emergency Management team warned that there could be a colorful sheen on the river’s surface in the coming days. harm the environment, neither humans nor aquatic animals,” they wrote on Facebook.
