Len Goodman, the head judge of DWTS (Dancing with the Stars), has announced his departure from the dance competition after 31 seasons. According to Celebrity Net Worth, Goodman is an English professional ballroom dancer who has a net worth of $18 million. Len said he will not be returning as a judge for the dance competition’s 32nd season. He claimed:
“While we are all excited and looking forward to the finale next week, it is also with a sense of regret that this will be my last season to judge ‘Dancing with the Stars’.”
He went on to say:
“I’ve been with the program since it first aired in 2005, and it’s been an honor to be part of such a great show, but I’ve decided I need to spend more time with my kids and family. “
Len has served as a judge on the program for the past 17 years. After announcing his departure, Len congratulated the DWTS family on an “amazing experience” and expressed his excitement for the show’s finale, which he says will be “amazing”.

The decision to step down comes because his age has made it “more difficult” to perform Len Goodman’s performance. He said to people:
“I haven’t fallen asleep or started dribbling on the program yet, so I thought it better to go before I do!”
He continues and says:
“I will miss the California sunlight, working with my peers’ judges, and the camaraderie on the program.” I will miss seeing celebrities blossom into dancers and being a part of one of TV’s most popular series.”
The judge received a standing ovation after announcing his retirement. Tyra Banks, the show’s host, took the opportunity to congratulate the “living icon” for inspiring “generations of dancers around the world” with his enthusiasm, talent and “laser-focused vision.”

Len Goodman was born in London in 1944. He started dancing at the age of 19 when a doctor prescribed it as a form of rehabilitation for a foot condition. He then pursued a career as a professional dancer and won several competitions. He stopped dancing in his late twenties after winning the British Championships in Blackpool. He is best known as a reality television dance competition series host. He originally appeared as a head judge on the original UK edition of DWTS, Strictly Come Dancing. He then served as a judge on DWTS for the first 20 seasons before retiring for Season 21.
He then returned to the judging panel from seasons 22 through 28, before saying goodbye again in season 29. He returned in season 30 before announcing his retirement. In addition, the 78-year-old has presented a number of documentary shows. Len Goodman’s Dance Band Days premiered on BBC Four in 2013. He also presented Len Goodman’s Perfect Christmas on BBC One on Boxing Day, Holiday of My Lifetime and other shows.
