Andrews is a well-known British-American actor who has starred in a number of critically acclaimed TV episodes and movies. Deadline describes Naveen Andrews’ role in The Cleaning Lady season 2 as “cozy and cute.” Kamdar makes life difficult for Nadia Morales and her husband Arman. Born on January 17, 1969 to Indian parents Stanley Andrews and Nirmala, Naveen Andrews spent most of his childhood in Wandsworth, South London. His parents emigrated to the United Kingdom from the Indian state of Kerala. Naveen Andrews became interested in acting from an early age and enrolled at London’s prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she met renowned actors David Thewlis and Ewan McGregor. In 1991, he won a role in Hanif Khureshi’s drama film London Kills Me. He went on to portray most of Karim Amir in the BBC miniseries Buddha of Suburbia, which aired in 1993.
Naveen Andrews had another notable appearance as Kip in Anthony Minghella’s 1996 film The English Patient. Ralph Fiennes, Juliette Binoche and Willem Dafoe starred in the film. Andrews played Sayid Jarrah in ABC’s acclaimed mystery drama series Lost. He was nominated for Golden Globe and Emmy awards for his role in the program. His other major TV and movie credits include Diana, Rollerball and Sense8. He was nominated for Gold Derby TV Awards and Hollywood Critics Association TV Awards for his role as Ramesh Sunny Balwani in Hulu’s famous limited series The Dropout.
A Brief Look at the Story and Actors of The Cleaning Lady
The Cleaning Lady follows Thony De La Rosa, a Cambodian-Filipino doctor who becomes an undocumented immigrant to the United States when her visa expires. However, she can’t go because her child suffers from an incredibly unusual disease and needs care. According to FOX, the official synopsis of the program is as follows:
“When wise-cracking Cambodian pediatrician Thony De La Rosa comes to the United States for medical therapy to save her ailing son, she quickly realizes her journey wouldn’t be as easy as she imagined.”
According to the description,
“While the system abandons her and forces her into hiding, she promises not to be beaten down and exiled and works as a cleaner for organized crime. Thony works her way into the criminal underground, using her cunning and intellect to do whatever it takes to make a living.”
The series stars Élodie Yung, starring Adan Canto, Oliver Hudson and Eva De Dominici in key supporting roles, among others. Miranda Kwok, a well-known writer and performer, leads the program. Season 2 of The Cleaning Lady will premiere on FOX on Monday, September 19, 2022.
