The series aired from 2012 to 2017 and won four awards and was nominated for five others.
Early life, family and education
Adam was raised in Minnesota as an only child, by his father who was a firefighter and his mother who was a housewife – the family led a modest life but could not afford expensive travel and vacations. He became interested in acting at a very young age after watching TV serials with his mother; he played baseball and football while he attended Eden Prairie High School, and today is a huge fan of the Minnesota Vikings American Football team. He practiced singing and acting while in high school, and after graduating from high school in 1997, enrolled at Southern Methodist University, known for its stellar acting program – graduating in 2001 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in acting .
Career as an actor
After graduating, Adam moved to New York and acted in numerous plays, and after several years moved to Chicago and then Dallas, performing in plays all over the place. From Dallas he moved to Colorado and eventually ended up in Alaska. He returned to Aspen, Colorado, where he taught acting students for four years, while also directing about 15 plays.
After moving to Los Angeles, California in 2011, he made his TV debut in the episode “Getting a Rise from the Dead” of the anthology series “1000 ways to die”and was subsequently cast to appear in some episodes of the police procedural crime series “Criminal Minds”, the series “Get Busy” and the action comedy espionage series “Chuck”.
In 2012, he guest-starred as Junior in the episode “The Devil You Know” of the western crime series “Justified”, and the following year played Robbie Reuben in a single episode of the historical drama “Vegas”.
In 2014, Adam appeared in both the crime series “Killer Women” and the crime procedural comedy series “Bones”, before being invited to play the supporting character Carl Brown in the action series “NCIS: Los Angeles”, for which he was filming until 2017. of his last roles in TV series were in three episodes of the romantic family series “This Is Us” in 2017, the episode “Clean Burn” of the drama “Doubt” and the episode “Shape-Shifters” of the animated web series “Love , Death & Robots’, both in 2019.
Adam made his movie debut in 2012 when he starred as an escaped convict in the short film “Be Strong”, and in the same year he starred as Jim Wright in the movie “Qwerty”, which failed to attract much attention. Adam is very secretive about his love life and has not commented on women he may have dated since the start of his acting career.
However, it is widely known that in 2016 he was in a relationship with a non-celebrity girl Alia as the two were seen together on a red carpet event in March 2016, and for the next two years, and both have also occasionally uploaded photos of themselves together to their Instagram accounts. Adam has not commented on the rumours, but it is believed that he and Alia got married sometime in 2019 in a private ceremony attended by around 20 of their closest friends and family.
He has not spoken about any women he may have dated before meeting Alia, and as of August 2020, Adam is either dating Alia or they may have been married, but apparently have no children.
Hobbies and other interests
Adam enjoys watching NBA basketball in his spare time, and is a huge fan of the Dallas Mavericks who claims that he maybe even one of those obsessed fans.
He is an animal lover and had two pet dogs, one of which died in 2019; he now walks his dog in the park at least twice a day.
He is an avid table tennis player and refers to himself as ‘the ping pong master’.
