Lili Kay was born in Brooklyn, New York in 1994 and attended private school in New York, according to Dotlocal.org. She apparently took an early interest in acting and modeling and eventually chose to pursue a career in the entertainment industry after her education. Lilli Kay made her acting debut in the 2018 film Paterno, where she played Dori. The film stars famed actor Al Pacino as Joe Paterno, with Kathy Baker and Larry Mitchell also in major roles.
Kay went on to appear on such programs as Madam Secretary, Chambers and the well-known Showtime drama Your Honor, in which she played Fia Baxter.
