Lisa is one of those wonderful husbands who is always there for her man in good times and bad. She was there for Michael when he was depressed after his championship final in Rome in 2009. The feeling that he was responsible for the loss had a heavy impact on him, leading to grief, and no one was aware of his melancholy except his parents, brother Graham, and Lisa until he denounced it in his book later in 2018. According to him, he felt as if he was in mourning after the loss in Rome, and when he was locked out at the start of the following season, the worry was sold deepened.
