Megyn Kelly, an American journalist, was punished online for making fun of Meghan Markle for feeling objectified while playing the game show Deal or No Deal. She stated:
“She had a great time. She longed for objectification.”
On the most recent episode of her podcast, The Megyn Kelly Show, the 51-year-old host said she didn’t believe Markle’s claims about feeling a bimbo because she knew exactly what she was getting into. She went on to say that Markle was trying to “cheat” everyone and instead enjoyed her time on the show as the briefcase girl. Meghan Markle admitted to feeling objectified during Deal or No Deal, claiming the show had more to do with attractiveness than brains.

After Megyn Kelly’s criticism of Meghan Markle’s confession, Twitteratis reprimanded the talk show host for rejecting the Duchess of Sussex’s confession. In addition, people labeled her a “racist” and “jealous” of Markle.

What did Megyn Kelly really say?
Megyn Kelly, on the current episode of her podcast show, dismissed Markle’s claims that she felt “objectified” when she appeared on Deal or No Deal as the No. 24 suitcase girl:
“The ridiculous assumption that she had no idea what she was getting into when she accepted a job where the main goal is to appear tanned, apply fake eyelashes and wear a little sparkly dress while unpacking a bag.”
Kelly further denied her allegations, saying:
“She knew very well what she was getting into with that job, and it was no surprise to her that they wanted her to look as beautiful as possible while doing it.” What she’s trying to convince us now is that she had a good time. She longed for worship, and she wants it to this day.”
Meghan Markle claimed on the latest edition of her Archetype podcast that while she was grateful for the position, she left because it was more about looks than intellect:
“And there were several stations to apply your lashes, apply extensions or apply bra padding. We also got spray tan coupons every week because there was a very specific vision of what we should look like. It was all about our appearance. And not always about intellect.”
Markle said she didn’t like how the program made her feel like she was stupid:
“On that platform I was surrounded by intelligent ladies, but that was not the reason we were there, and I would leave with a pit in my stomach. Knowing that I was so much more than the objectification on stage. I didn’t appreciate being forced to be all show and no substance.
Whoopi Goldberg and Meghan Markle’s former co-star, Claudia Jordan, neither questioned Megyn Kelly nor Meghan Markle’s claims regarding her stint with Deal or No Deal.
