So far in his career
Sliti made his professional debut with CS Sedan after a youth career with Marseille. He played for the club for two years, appearing in 53 games between Sedan A and Sedan B and scoring three goals. He then moved to Paris FC, where he scored nine goals in 18 games. In 2014 he joined Red Star.
He was loaned to Lille while at Red Star before signing a permanent contract with the club in 2017. He joined Dijon on loan and then returned to Dijon for a season before joining Al-Ettifaq in 2019. Tunisia in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier where he scored his first goal in a 3–0 win against Djibouti.
He has wanted to participate in the World Cup ever since he started playing football
Sliti will compete for Tunisia for the second time at the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Playing in the World Cup is a dream come true for Sliti, who claims he has wanted to participate in the World Cup ever since he first started playing football. According to him, he started playing football shortly after France won the 1988 World Cup with two goals from Zinedine Zidane in the final.
That was the reason he started playing. Sliti said it is an honor for him to play for Tunisia, that he will try his best to wear the Carthaginian eagle shirt at every opportunity and that he will play for an entire nation at the World Cup.
The main effect on his career
His parents have been the most influential in his career and have been there for him throughout his football career. He says he can only thank them for everything they have done for him. Aside from that, he had instructors, especially in Sedan, who encouraged him to play the game at the best possible level before turning pro.
He chose the Saudi League over La Liga for religious considerations.
Sliti revealed in an interview that he turned down an offer from La Liga team RCD Mallorca before joining Saudi side Al-Ettifaq. He said he turned down an offer from Real Mallorca because he wanted to stay near the holy Kaaba and raise his children according to Islamic teachings.
