Former Canadian model and dancer, Elaine Starchuk, who also went by the names Honey and Candice Starrek, will forever be remembered as the first wife of musician and Motley Crue drummer, Tommy Lee. Despite not having a very successful career, Elaine had achieved some notoriety, mainly due to her marriage to one of rock’s most successful musicians. Dreaming of the catwalk
Elaine Margaret Starchuk was born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, on April 7, 1964; who her parents were and whether she has any siblings has never been revealed. Elaine has kept quiet about her family and information about her family for most of her early life, as she never spoke about it or to the media.
However, it is known that from an early age Elaine dreamed of a modeling career. Frankly, how many young girls and women?
The lure of the catwalk with its lucrative promises, glamorous lifestyles and flashy cameras has been a widespread dream, and thus the desire of many young women from all over the world.
Elaine, like one of the many women who took drastic measures to make her dream a reality, was so obsessed with being a model that she underwent breast augmentation surgery at the age of 16 in 1980 – one wonders who has paid !
Despite being an attractive young woman, 5 feet 8 inches (1.73 m) tall with thick, dark brown hair, hazel eyes, and a slender figure that many would envy, she still felt compelled to improve her appearance.
Unfortunately, her modeling career didn’t turn out the way she might have hoped. Shortly out of high school and barely eighteen years old, Elaine traveled across the border to Canada’s neighboring country, the United States of America, in search of her dream.
Elaine started her career there in 1982, but she had few opportunities. She finally gained recognition only when she started modeling for provocative magazines like Playboy.
While modeling for Hugh Hefner’s super-successful magazine was quite an accomplishment, it’s definitely not the dreams the young Vancouver girl might have been hoping for.
Despite this, Elaine still gave her best, and so she appeared in other publications including Miss Nude BC and Penthouse, all of which received her wide acclaim.
Her short-lived marriage to Tommy Lee
While working as a model and part-time dancer, Elaine caught the attention of several famous men with whom she had romantic relationships, but her most famous relationship was with Tommy Lee.
Among her other romances, a few notable names included Vince Neil, the singer, and David Coverdale and Nikki Sixx, the bassist and primary songwriter for the Motley Crue glam rock band.
While Elaine may have been popular with most of the members of Motley Crue, she initially married Tommy Lee with whom she had a long-term relationship. After more than two years of dating, the couple tied the knot on November 24, 1984. However, just seven days later, the two newlyweds separated and divorced in May 1985.
While no reason was given for Elaine’s divorce from Tommy at the time, the truth later surfaced in the movie The Dirt. One scene showed how Tommy physically abused his first wife, who was called Roxy in the movie, but many knew she represented Elaine Starchuk. Tommy Lee later married model and actress Pamela Anderson.
Elaine’s life since then
After her divorce from Tommy, Elaine did everything she could to get her life back on track.
With experience in modeling and beauty, she started her own business specializing in eyelash extensions, as well as an educational institute that taught the intricacies of eyelash extensions. It’s called Enlightened Eyelash Academy, and some of her notable clients included Avril Lavigne and many other stars and models, and she also worked on the set of the ‘Transformers’ movie.
As if a failed modeling career and a traumatic relationship with a glam rock drummer weren’t enough, Elaine faced another tragedy. While you are shopping May 13, 2013 at Nature’s Fair Market in Langley, Virginia, Elaine became one of many victims of a car accident.

Elaine suffered multiple injuries, including soft tissue damage to her arms, neck and chest, and also had to undergo reconstructive surgery for her breast augmentation. Due to her injuries, Elaine was no longer able to work as a beautician or instructor, though she subsequently received $440,000 in compensation for her losses.
The former model, who recently turned 56, has been leading a quiet life away from the spotlight ever since and nothing is known about her further affairs or relationships.
