American writer, actress and comedian, Nancy Ellen Walls, was born on July 19, 1966 in Cohasset, Massachusetts, USA, to Robert and Carol Walls, and grew up with her sister, Tish Vivado (née Walls). She graduated from Cohasset High School before graduating from Boston College in 1988. While studying at university, she was a member of ‘My Mother’s Fleabag’, an improv group. Career
After graduating from college, Nancy worked in a grocery store for a few months before joining a group in Chicago’s The Second City. From 1995 to 1996, she joined “Saturday Night Live” (SNL), like most of the company’s alumni.
Television
In “SNL,” her most memorable impression was of Bobbie Battista, a CNN anchor. Her other impersonators included Kathy Ireland, Cokie Roberts, Sharon Stone and Diane Sawyer. She was on the show with David Koechner, a Second City co-writer and co-star.
In 1998 she played Jill in ‘Late Line’, and in 1999 Oswalt played Ozzy Osbourne’s wife and Ben Osbourne’s mother in VH1’s ‘Random Play’ – Kevin E. Elliot played Ben Osbourne. From 1999 to 2002, she was a correspondent on the popular satirical television news ‘The Daily Show’.

In an interview on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” in 2015, Steve said, “The conversation would go something like, ‘Hey, you know, if I ever asked a woman out, it would be someone like you. Just like you.’ Both Nancy and Steve were too scared to ask the other first, but Nancy replied, “If a man like you were ever to ask a woman like me, I certainly would.” After a few weeks of hinting at each other, Steve finally asked Nancy out, and…….

She kind of checked all the boxes in my head, but I thought she hated me…” he said she was always very quiet around him, but she was just trying to be cool. He fondly reminisced about their wedding day and said he felt calm the moment he saw her walking down the aisle and knew he was doing the right thing. He added: ‘…most of all, it was very encouraging to know that that person would become my partner and have my back. It just made me feel strong and I’ll never forget it.’ In the interview, he also said that his wife is funnier than him. Though he doesn’t share the same sense of humor with his family that he shares with Nancy.
