Stephen Jurvetson was born on March 1, 1967 in Arizona, USA, to Tonu Jurvetson and Tiiu Tia Jurvetson. Before the Soviet re-occupation, Stephen Jurvetson’s father escaped Estonia and traveled across Europe. Stephen’s mother was a newcomer. They used the Estonian language, which Stephen did not want to learn. It was kept between his father and mother as a secret language. Stephen Jurvetson became Estonia’s first non-European e-resident.
Stephen Jurvetson grew up in Dallas and attended St. Mark’s School of Texas. He completed his high school education and graduated in 1985.
