Life and career
Micheline is of French descent but grew up in Morocco and. At a young age she was very sports oriented and eventually found her love for golf. She participated in numerous tournaments throughout her teenage years and achieved some success with winnings from tournaments. Her focus changed during her early adult years as she began to learn more about painting.
She was inspired by the painting Le Bonheur De Vivre or The Joy of Life, and developed a style similar to it, using realistic concepts and vibrant colors, which she became known for, and her use of unusual settings, changes of scale, simple shapes , and crop to create realism.
Her work started to get attention, especially after she got into a relationship with Sean Connery. She has held exhibitions all over the world, including in Washington DC, Rome, Athens, Chicago and Paris. Besides painting, she is also interested in theater productions and helped with the Broadway hit ‘Art’, which would go on to win a Tony Award.
Later career and controversy
Aside from her production work, Roquebrune was also credited as part of the film’s crew”Never say never againin which her husband starred. She also participated in the creation of the documentary “Sean Connery: An Intimate Portrait”, in which she had several appearances. Since they both took a step back in their respective careers, they have mainly traveled the world playing golf to keep fit.
She was called up in 2015 stand trial in Spain on allegations of fraud to the Spanish government. According to the case reports, the couple sold a house in Marbella, Spain, where they had owned the house for more than two decades, and after the sale, more than 70 new apartments were created in the area that only had five permits. The value of the sale would also be fictitious and a legal transaction was fabricated so she could evade taxes. Her husband was involved in the investigation, but was later ruled out after an affidavit he filed. Several of their lawyers were also charged with tax fraud before the event.
However, no word has come out since the case in 2016, meaning it may have been settled out of court.

Thomas Sean Connery was born in Fountainbridge, Edinburgh, Scotland, where his mother worked as a cleaner while his father was a factory worker. He grew up next to a younger brother and ended up using his middle name more because he had a friend with a similar first name to Thomas. His first job was as a milkman in Edinburgh and then he joined the Royal Navy. After being released from service after being diagnosed with a stomach ulcer, he returned home and worked various odd jobs.
At the age of 18, he became interested in bodybuilding and even competed for a short time, until he realized that he was often beaten by Americans. He then played a little football and was scouted for a team, but declined to participate as he felt he only had a few years left in him for an athletic career. He then moved on to acting, first taking on projects in the local theater before eventually landing small roles in bigger productions. He became close friends with Michael Caine and would build his reputation as an accomplished actor in stage productions.
Sean Connery’s success
In the 1960s, Connery began taking on more television and film roles, which would greatly improve his career.
In 1962 he was cast as the first actor to portray the character James Bond created by novelist Ian Fleming. He starred in seven James Bond movies over two decades with some of his most popular including “Diamonds Are Forever”, “You Only Live Twice” and “Dr. Nee”. While working on those projects, he also established himself as a top level actor with an Academy Award winning role in “The Untouchables”.
Other notable films he has worked on during his career include ‘Murder on the Orient Express’, ‘Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade’, ‘Dragonheart’, ‘The Man Who Would Be King’ and ‘Highlander’. He is regarded as one of Scotland’s greatest personalities and is even considered by several publications as their national living treasure.
He was voted the sexiest man in the world several times by “People” magazine and was knighted in 2000 for his services to the entertainment industry. He also received a Lifetime Achievement Award in the US from the American Film Institute in 2006, marking his retirement of acting afterwards.
Private life
Micheline met Sean in 1972 at a golf club in Morocco – he was still married to actress Diane Cilento at the time. Despite not knowing how to speak each other’s language, the two connected while playing golf, leading them to romantic encounters outside of games.
After he left, he didn’t contact her again until a few years later and his divorce from Cilento. They dated for two years and got married in 1975, and have been together ever since. She has three children from previous marriages while he has a child from his marriage to Cilento.
Since their retirement they have toured the US, Scotland and Spain. Her husband had a dream of creating a golf course which was later realized after selling his land to billionaire Dietmar Hopp. Both have publicly stated that they have no plans to return to work as they are enjoying their retirement.
