Zaytoven was born Xavier L. Dotson on January 12, 1980, in Frankfurt, Germany. As a result, he spent his childhood in German. His father was a pastor and his mother conducted a choir. When he was still young, they moved from Frankfurt, Germany to San Francisco, California.
