Microsoft and Activision-Blizzard have still not finalized the acquisition and recently announced an extension of their mutually agreed deadline to October. The FTC could resubmit this challenge and the two continue to negotiate with the UK’s CMA. As we noted earlier this week, there are signs it won’t be that long – Xbox head Phil Spencer told employees that the two companies “remain optimistic that we’ll get our acquisition across the finish line.”
