Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eaterthe recently announced remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eaterwill reuse the voice lines from the original game with no changes, according to Tommy Williams, Konami’s head of communications for America.
Konami revealed the game last week, and the language on how the original voice cast would be portrayed was murky. The company’s press release said that the remake will “play the original voice characters”, and a tweet said the “story and character voices” in Delta would “remain the same from the original game.”
That language left some room for interpretation. Would the same voice actors be back, but with new rules? Recent remakes like Resident Evil 4 And Final Fantasy VII Remake put a new twist on the stories of beloved classics, so it didn’t seem inconceivable that Metal Gear fixed delta could do something similar, with the added bonus of using the original cast. Unfortunately for Metal Gear fixed deltait doesn’t look like that’s happening.
The voting issue wasn’t the only confusing thing about the remake. The game’s logo reads technically Metal Gear solid A: Snake eater, and Konami has confirmed that the correct way to pronounce that is “delta”, not triangle. “Delta means ‘change’ or ‘difference’ without changing structure”, says the official Metal gear Twitter accountand it seems that this also applies to the voting lines.
