Andrew P. Buckley Jr. was born on February 13, 1965 in Salem, Massachusetts, USA. He is an actor, stockbroker and screenwriter, probably best known for his work in the American version of the television series “The Office”, portraying the character David Wallace. He was with the show for its entire run.

Andy grew up in Salem with two brothers and a sister from their parents, and attended Pine Crest High School. At that time, he had no intention of pursuing a career as an actor. He spent some time in Florida due to his high school education and after his matriculation, he enrolled at Stanford University where he received a degree in political science.
Part of one of the world’s top universities, he completed his degree in 1987. During his time at the school, he was a member of the Stanford Men’s Golf Team.
However, after graduating, he discovered his passion for acting and began training as part of the Groundlings Theater where he honed his improvisational skills and performed in comedy skits. He also teamed up with other notable members who went on to find success in mainstream acting, including Dax Shepard and Melissa McCarthy. In the 1990s, he started taking on mostly independent projects, in minor roles.
Rise to fame
Buckley’s most notable project in the 1990s was working in a number of music videos for country artist Reba McEntire, namely “What If It’s You” and “I’d Rather Ride Around with You”.
He also made cameo appearances in “Silk Stalkings” and “Melrose Place”. In 2002, he made his mainstream film debut in “Grand Champion”, starring George Strait and Emma Roberts, and was notable for his numerous notable cameos such as Julia Roberts and Bruce Willis.
He also appeared in a three-episode role in “Pacific Blue”, playing the character Teddy Callaway. The crime show follows the lives of a squad of police officers who work for the Santa Monica Police Department and often patrol the area’s popular beaches. Nations.
Other projects he worked on included guest appearances on “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”, “NYPD Blue” and “The District”. In 2006, Andy would become a starring star in one of the most popular shows from the late 2000s to the early 2010s,”The office”. The sitcom is set in a fictional paper company and follows the lives of its employees. It has a mockumentary style format, where the employees are filmed by a documentary film crew, meaning they can handle the camera while also doing fake interviews as part of the show’s direction.
The show featured many notable names such as Steve Carell and John Krasinski. Although it had a bit of a slow start, the show eventually picked up and received many positive reviews throughout its run.
Steve Carrell won a Golden Globe for his role and the show won four Primetime Emmy Awards. The show was praised for its tone, structure, comedy and content. During the later seasons, the show was criticized with a sudden decline in quality that could be attributed to Carrell heading off the show to pursue other projects. In the series, Andy portrays the Chief Financial Officer of the fictional corporation Dunder Mifflin, introduced on the show during the second season, and seen as one of the wealthy executives.
His character is known for being extremely tolerant of the eccentricities of manager Michael Scott, played by Carrell.
Recent projects
While working on “The Office,” Buckley had other opportunities, including one of the lead roles on the show “The Lying Game,” which ran for two seasons and was loosely based on the Sara Shepard books of the same name. Because of his cancellation, the show was left unresolved and ended with a cliffhanger. After “The Office,” he had a recurring role on the series “Scorpion,” which is based on the life of self-proclaimed computer expert Walter O’Brien, who also produced the show.
The series received critical acclaim throughout its four seasons.
One of his recent television projects is “The Fugitive” which is currently in production and is said to be based on the 1993 movie of the same name. In movies, he had a small role in “Horrible Bosses 2” followed by an appearance in “Jurassic world”, part of the “Jurassic Park” movie series, responsible for the resurgence of movie popularity, becoming one of the highest-grossing movies of all time. Some of his latest movie projects include “A Million Little Pieces” and “All Light Will End”.
Private life
Andy married acting coach Nancy Banks and they have two children together. While “The Office” ended over seven years ago, it still serves its fans social media, many of whom still remember his character from the show and his infamous song “Suck It”. He also remains very interested and passionate about comedy, often posting various comedy posts online. Despite the popularity of his song, he admits that he can’t sing and can’t carry a tune. He only did one musical in his career and was so bad at singing that he had to have other soloists perform the song while he acted on stage.
