A new episode of Southern Charm season 8 airs this Thursday on Bravo, in which Taylor Ann Green struggles to trust Shep Rose. Taylor had a pregnancy anxiety in one of the episodes, so the couple had issues. On last week’s episode, she approached Shep and inquired about the state of their relationship. Shep agreed he wasn’t a “safe bet” when she said she didn’t believe he was ready for a commitment. He ended the conversation with Taylor, who seemed irritated, by saying:
“We’ll cross that bridge when we get there.”
Meanwhile, reports of trouble in paradise are circulating, but Shep and Taylor have not formally announced their split.
A look at the relationship between Shep and Taylor
Shep first mentioned Taylor on social media in February 2020, when he tweeted a photo of her with a band’s lead singer. The duo’s romance rumors first surfaced in March, then Taylor confirmed her relationship with Shep on Instagram in May 2020. They shot Southern Charm season 7 during the aforementioned months and thus had to keep their relationship a secret. During that season, Shep introduced Taylor to the public for the first time.
Shep admitted to cheating on Taylor during the season 7 reunion. Shep explained his interaction with her in the episode:
“I kissed a girl on a staircase – and that was it.” It was an old flame and we sent messages back and forth of ‘Ooh, tomorrow night’, but nothing came out. It was a vulnerable time. I had been drinking. But that’s all it was, and I’ll go to my grave to know.”
The Southern Charm actress went on to say:
“Look, I hate what happened, and it hurt me a lot,” she says. But I’d rather stay with you. I’m madly in love with you. You bring me joy.” It was something huge that we had to cry.”
The pair started filming season 8 last year and were spotted sharing numerous love messages on Instagram. They traveled to Europe in March, and Shep told US Weekly in June, shortly before the season 8 premiere:
“We had just started dating and it was really honeymoon.” We were just in the corner doing our own thing and making each other laugh, and now she’s totally on the show and friends — much better friends — with everyone, so she’s really thriving.
Shep’s most recent Instagram photo with her was taken on July 10 in Vero Beach, Florida. Taylor’s last message with him was on July 4 from the same place. Meanwhile, in Southern Charm season 8, the couple will try to figure out the future of their relationship.
When will the fifth episode of Southern Charm season 8 air?
In addition to the Taylor-Shep conflict, Southern Charm season 8 episode 5 will continue to portray the brawl that broke out at Venita Aspen and Madison LeCroy’s combined birthday party. Since the last episode ended on a cliffhanger, the next episode will show how Venita’s birthday was ruined. She will try to make amends with Kathryn Dennis and Olivia Flowers, but things go awry. The official description of Southern Charm Season 8 Episode 5 is Exes and Uh Oh’s:
“Madison and Venita’s combined party goes wrong; Paige sets ground rules for her relationship with Craig; Shep fights to gain Taylor’s trust while abroad. Kathryn hosts a ladies night out to celebrate her newfound celebrity.”
