Nadine Caridi is a former model who has worked with brands such as the beer brand Miller Lite during her career, and has also made a number of commercials for Monday Night Football, among others. However, Nadine remains best known to the world as the ex-wife of notorious stockbroker Jordan Belfort. The two were married from 1991 to 2005 and have two children together.

Even before she finished her education, Nadine launched her modeling career when she was chosen as the poster girl for the Miller Lite beer brand.
She continued working as a model for a while and had her breakthrough when she was chosen for one of the Monday Night Football commercials, increasing both her popularity and her wealth.

When Jordan and Nadine first met, she was in a relationship with Alan Wilzig, a restaurateur, entrepreneur and semi-pro race car driver. Alan and Nadine were guests at one of Jordan’s many parties, and Alan introduced her to Jordan.
Belfort was marred with Denise Lombardo, but he became interested in Nadine and the pair soon began dating. He divorced Lombardo in 1991, and the same year Nadine became Belfort’s wife and the center of media attention, which she quite enjoyed. Born Jordan Ross Belfort on July 9, 1962 in Queens, New York City, USA, he is the son of Max and Leah Belfort. Of Jewish descent, he grew up in Bayside, Queens and later attended American University where he earned a degree in biology. During his high school years, Jordan teamed up with friend Elliot Loewenstern to sell Italian ice cream to people at a local beach. The two earned about $20,000 and he wanted to use the money to study at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. However, he left the university after a few days because the dean told him that the golden age of dentistry was over and that if he was going to study dentistry just to make a lot of money, he was in the wrong place.

Jordan began his career selling meat and seafood door-to-door on Long Island, New York. Soon his business became successful, but gradually his venture failed and he filed for bankruptcy when he was only 25 years old. After this, he bounced back with the help of a family friend who appointed him as a trainee stockbroker with LF Rothschild. He learned a lot in that position, but had no luck as the Black Monday crisis made him redundant.
Nevertheless, he started Stratton Oakmont, which operated as a boiler room, and at one point he and his employees owned more than 1,000 shares, worth more than $1 billion.
During this time, however, his company was often under the scrutiny of the National Association of Securities, and in December 1996 his company was delisted from the NASD, putting it out of business.
Indictment, imprisonment
Three years later, Belfort was charged with securities fraud and money laundering; he had scammed people out of more than $200 million and had to pay back $110 million to his clients – his activities earned him the nickname The Wolf of Wall Street. He received a four-year sentence and served 22 months in California’s Taft Correctional Institution.
His sentence was reduced when he entered into a plea deal with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

Since his release, Jordan has also become a motivational speaker, author, and screenwriter. He has written two memoirs, including the “Wolf of the Wall Street” (2007), which was adapted into the movie of the same name and released in 2013, starring Leonardo DiCaprio as Jordan.
