Lee Whitlock, a British TV and film actor known for his roles in films such as Wish You Were Here, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber Of Fleet Street and others, passed away on Monday, February 20 at the age of 54, according to his acting agency. The actor, who played Bevis Loveday in four episodes of the BBC One TV series Grange Hill, has been in the business for more than four decades. On Monday, his company, Urban Collective, tweeted to inform his fans of Lee Whitlock’s death. The tweet says as follows:

English actor Andrew Lancel, widely known for his role in BBC One’s Cardiac Arrest, expressed his feelings, noting that he has admired Whitlock since his performance in Shine on Harvey Moon. Lancel, who also worked with Whitlock on two projects, tweeted:

British novelist Matthew Todd recalled Whitlock’s performance in Two of Us, noting that the late actor first achieved fame with Shine on Harvey Moon, an 1980s program in which Whitlock appeared 41 times. Liam Rudden, a writer, journalist and theater director, also expressed his feelings on Twitter. Another person said that Whitlock’s Two of Us helped them “get a handle on their identity” and they gave the actor “high regard”.
