Kelly grew up in Davie alongside her two sisters Carolyn and Kaitlyn Nash by their mother who is a housewife and their father Ed Nash who is a fisherman. Her family is originally from Portugal as her paternal grandfather came to Florida, USA in his teens.

She began her career as a journalist in 2011 when she joined the ACC Digital Network where she worked as a host and production assistant before moving to Fox Sports Florida.
She worked as their sideline reporter, and during the time she spent with them, she covered the Tampa Bay Rays baseball team, the Orlando Magic basketball team, and the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team.
