Robert Parks Valletta was born on March 23, 1981 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, but soon after moved to San Diego, California, where he grew up. His father, John Valletta, is Italian and Portuguese, and his mother, Theresa Malaby, is Cherokee and used to work at a post office.
He is the youngest member of the family and his older sister Amber Valletta is a famous model with a son named Auden from a previous relationship. When his sister spoke about her battle with drug and alcohol addiction, it sparked outrage.
Robert and his sister attended Booker T. Washington High School, where he graduated, and then went on to California University to complete his education.
