Shannon Spake was born in Sunrise, Florida, USA, on July 23, 1976 – her zodiac sign is Leo and she is an American national. She is a NASCAR correspondent, sports reporter and a TV personalityperhaps best known for the work she has done reporting football and basketball for Fox Sports.
Youth and education
Shannon was raised as an only child in Sunrise by her father, who was a football coach, and her mother, who taught at a local high school.

Shannon became interested in journalism after watching news programs on TV with her parents.
When she went to grade school, Shannon found out she suffered from scoliosis, a medical condition in which a person’s spine has a sideways curvature, so when she was 12 she had surgery to fix it. She attended Piper High School. where she was physically active while playing track and field and soccer, and after her matriculation in 1994, she enrolled at Florida Atlantic University in Bocan Raton, graduating in 1998.
Career as a journalist
Shannon started her career in 1999 when she started her internship with Neil Rogers, an American talk show personality, and then had several jobs in the following years, such as at Speed Channel where the program “NASCAR Nation” was hosted. She soon began hosting the “Back Seat Drivers” program alongside Marty Smith, an American sportswriter who is perhaps best known for the work he has done on the ESPN network. Shannon has also worked with the WCCB Network and Carolina Sports and Entertainment Television.
She joined NASCAR in 2007 and became their pit reporter while often contributing to their shows.NASCAR Countdown” and “NASCAR Now”. During the 2008 season, she was a NASCAR reporter for ESPN, covering all Sprint Cup races and the Nationwide Cup. On August 13, 2013, she renewed her contract with ESPN for several years, but the network lost its NASCAR broadcasting rights to NBC Sports in 2015.
On July 6, 2016, Shannon joined the Fox Network team and began covering college football and basketball for them, while also serving as a pit road reporter for NASCAR. She soon began covering National Football League (NFL) games and contributed to the “NASCAR Race Hub” program before becoming the show’s co-host on February 13, 2013, after Danielle Trotta quit, leaving Adam Alexander alone as host.

She had her debut film in 2017 when she was invited to voice Shannon Spokes in the animated adventure comedy film “Cars 3” which also starred Owen Wilson, Cristela Alonzo and Chris Cooper, and which is about Lightning McQueen trying to prove that he is the best racer in the world.
Shannon currently works for Fox Sports as their NASCAR correspondent, while also covering football and basketball games.
Love life and relationships
Shannon met Jerry McSorley in 2006, and the two started dating a few days later.
They married on April 14, 2008 in a small ceremony in Ireland attended by their closest friends and family, and Shannon gave birth to their identical twins Brady and Liam on January 1, 2010. The family of four currently lives in their home in Los Angeles, California.
Jerry attended Hendrick Hudson High School from 1991 to 1995, where he was physically active and excelled in football. He launched his own company – Sagebrook Homes – in 2004, but closed it in 2008, while also running his second company, Red Clay Developments, from May 2005 to July 2009.
Since February 2007, Jerry has been Chief Executive Officer of Eye Trax, Inc., “the leading manufacturer of wireless solar powered security camera systems.”
Hobbies and other interests
Shannon has been physically active since she was a teenager, and although her doctors told her there was little chance she would be able to participate in any sport after her scoliosis surgery, she trained every day and completed two marathons and several triathlons. and finished an Ironman. She loves to travel and has been all over the US for both work and pleasure, while also making several trips to Europe visiting countries such as England and Italy.
She is a philanthropist, having worked with various charitable organizations, mainly those focused on cancer research and helping underprivileged children, while Shannon is also a big animal lover and has a dog.
She likes watching movies late at night and some of her favorite actors and actresses are Leonardo DiCaprio, Channing Tatum and Angelina Jolie while some of her favorite movies are ‘Titanic’, ‘Dear John’ and ‘Mr. and Mrs Smith”.
