Devin Ratray is quite a talented personality – in addition to being an actor, he is also a producer and writer, but he is perhaps best known for his role of Buzz McCallister in the family comedy films “Home Alone” (1990) and “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York” (1992) In addition, he is widely recognized for appearing as Tinfoil Kevin in Amazon Video’s “The Tick” web series.

Early life, family and education

Devin D. Ratray does born in New York City, USA, under the zodiac sign of Capricorn on the 11^e January 1977, in the family of actors Peter Raray And Ann Willis. He is of American nationality and white ethnicity, and has a brother named Luke. With such a strong family connection to the film industry, it’s no wonder that Devin has gone on to have a successful acting career of his own.

Speaking of his educational background, in 1994 he enrolled in the famed Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music & Art and Performing Arts in NYC, and later enrolled in New York University’s School of Visual Arts.

Acting career

Devin’s Act debut took place at the age of nine, when in 1986 he was cast in the role of Neil Keeney in the mystery thriller film “Where Are the Children?”. In 1988, he appeared in the comedy film “Zits”, as well as the adventure film “The River Pirates”, before landing the recurring role of Gus Stafford in the TV comedy series “Heartland” in 1989. Later that year, he appeared in the role of bully Ronnie Coleman in the family comedy “Little Monsters”, followed by an appearance in the comedy film “Worth Winning”.

To greater fame devin came in 1990 when he was cast in the supporting role of fussthe oldest brother or sister of the lead character Kevin, played by Macaulay Culkin, in the two-time Oscar-nominated comedy film “Home alone“, reprising the role in 1992 in the second of five installments of the “Home Alone” franchise, titled “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York”. Following the success of these assignments, Ratray appeared in the following year in the comedy film “Dennis the Menace”.

1996 devin appeared in an episode of the critically acclaimed TV crime series “New York Undercover” after which he was cast as Cal in the 1997 drama film “Strong Island Boys”. After a hiatus of several years, he returned to the big screen in 2004 in the family comedy film “The Prince and Me”. He then made a series of guest appearances on popular TV series such as “Law & Order” and its spin-off series “Law & Order: Criminal Intent”, before appearing in the 2006 comedy film “Slippery Slope”.

In 2007, he was selected in the romantic comedy film “The Cake Eaters”, as well as in the mystery thriller film “Serial”.

Until the end of 2007 and 2008, Ratray excessively tried to “win the heart” of Condoleezza Rice, then US Secretary of State, by sending her musical love letters. He even followed her on her travels between the states of New York, Colorado, Alabama and Washington DC in an attempt to meet her in person. He documented all these attempts and streamed them into the documentary titled “Courting Condi”, which was released in late 2008.

The year 2009 was quite busy for Devin as he added several memorable on-screen performances to his walletsuch as movies “The Winning Season”, “Surrogates” and “The Flying Scissors”, as well as the TV series “Supernatural“. In 2011 Ratray made a cameo appearance in the comedy film “Real bromance‘, which he also wrote, and later in the year was featured in the horror film ‘Elevator’, and then in an episode of the TV series ‘The Good Wife’.

Devin came to limelight in 2013 when he appeared in the six-time Oscar-nominated comedy film “Nebraska”, followed later in the year in the critically acclaimed films “Blue Ruin” and “RIPD”. Through 2015, he appeared in TV series such as “Elementary” and “Louie”, before starring in the romantic comedy films “3rd Street Blackout” and “Construction”. During 2016, Ratray starred in the biographical film “The Lennon Report”, followed by an appearance in the comedy film “Masterminds”. The real breakthrough in devin‘s acting career took place in 2017, when he landed the recurring role of Tinfoil Kevin in the web series “The Tick”.
