Matriarch, Hulu’s next horror film, will premiere on the site on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 12 noon ET (for now). The plot revolves around a lady working in the advertising industry who chooses to take a break from her hectic career to see her estranged mother. But while there, she finds that things are not as quiet as they seem. Jemima Rooper will star in the film. Sarah Paul, Keith David Bartlett, Franc Ashman and many more round out the cast. Ben Steiner, a well-known filmmaker, wrote and directed Matriarch.

On September 14, 2022, Hulu released the official trailer for the film, which gives a glimpse into Laura’s incredibly hectic existence. Laura is shown on the phone to inform her mother that she has overdosed, after which her mother invites her to her home. The second part of the video shows how Laura’s life changes at the worst when she visits her mother in a remote English village.
Overall, the trailer is relentless, with a sombre tone that fans of psychological thrillers and horror will no doubt enjoy. According to Hulu Press, the official synopsis of the film is as follows:
