Mythical Games has announced that it has launched its first game, Blankos Block Party, which was previously in early access. The Web3 title is the first to launch with NFTs on the Epic Games Store.
Blankos Block Party, co-developed with Third Kind Games, is a free-to-play multiplayer title in which players customize collectible digital toy creatures called Blankos. They can also collect and sell their digital items (although Mythical says this is “not required”).
To celebrate the occasion, Mythical teamed up with Toho to bring the iconic monsters Godzilla, Mothra, and Mecha-Godzilla into the game as playable Blankos. They join the rest of the game’s seasonal content, which includes several other new Blankos and cosmetics.
Jamie Jackson, CCO at Mythical Games, said in a statement: “It was truly inspiring to watch this groundbreaking game grow during early access. As we launch our full game and our first season of content to the world, there’s no better way to celebrate than with gigantic iconic monsters from Toho!”
