The company’s combined HBO Max and Discovery Plus streaming service is almost here.
The rumors were true: Warner Bros.’ revamped streaming service. Discovery that combines HBO Max and Discovery Plus is simply called Max.
The company announced the new name Wednesday at a major press event, where it also discussed why it’s dropping the “HBO” branding from the name and previewed some of the shows you’ll be able to watch on the new service. There are many new shows on the way including The penguin, real detective: Night Land (the show’s fourth season), and even an animated series focused on Gremlins.
