The New York Video Game Critics Circle today announced the nominees for the 2023 Game Awards. The NYVGCC previously announced that the awards would once again be handed out in person. The last two ceremonies took place virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Several well-known titles grace the major prize lists, such as the end of 2022: Elden Ring, God of War Ragnarok, Neon White. Some games are missing from the list. Stray, one of the hottest indie titles of 2022, is missing from any nominee list, while Tunic has only been nominated as a children’s game. However, some deep cuts have gained recognition here, such as Trombone Champ.
