The Gayming Awards have announced the winners of the 2023 event, with Cult of the Lamb beating out Elden Ring and God of War: Ragnarok for Game of the Year.
The winners of the show, presented by Logitech G and Streamlabs, were presented at an event in New York City.
The winners of this year’s Gayming Awards were announced from the Industry Bar in New York City. The evening’s accolades were shared by a large lineup of games, content creators and companies, all reflecting the incredible diversity on display in the global games industry, event organizer Robin Gray said.
There were a total of 10 categories honoring a selection of video games, tabletop games, comic books, organizations and content creators who have championed diversity and inclusion globally by 2023.
In addition, Ashly Burch won the Gayming Icon Award in recognition of their contribution to the LGBTQ community within gaming by giving voice to so many LGBTQ characters. In addition, Gayming Magazine has added seven more streamers to the Rising Star Class.
The streamers have been chosen by the Gayming Ambassadors to be part of this prestigious class as they have all “made incredible strides in their streaming careers over the past year and made significant contributions to the LGBTQ+ community within the gaming space. “
“Making our Broadway debut and celebrating LGBTQ excellence in the global games industry was such a proud moment,” Gray, founder of Gayming Magazine and the Gayming Awards, said in a statement. “We are entering our third year of the Awards and are now firmly established as the leading voice in LGBTQ gaming and to be able to personally celebrate our community’s success in such a prestigious venue has been truly amazing. “
